Olam Hatchery

Chikun chicks(Cobb 500) are the product of Olam hatchery, a part of Olam Nigeria Limited, one of the leading agribusiness companies in the country. They operate one of Nigeria's largest poultry feed mills and day-old-chick facilities in Kaduna State, and in Kwara state.

 Chikun chicks are raised with high-quality feed and veterinary care, and are delivered nationwide to farmers and retailers. Chikun chicks are known for their high productivity, disease resistance, and adaptability to various climatic conditions. 

The Cobb 500 broilers exhibits consistently better uniformity than its major competitor across a wide range of bodyweights. The breed is known for its excellent growth, feed conversion ratio, and high egg production, making it a popular choice for commercial poultry production.

OLAM has partnered with Heering, a company that specializes in chick transport, to deliver their day-old chicks to their customers. They use four new Heering 45 chick carriers, which are equipped with trolleys, tail lifts, and advanced temperature and airflow control systems to ensure the health and safety of the chicks. The Heering trucks also have a tracking and tracing feature that allows OLAM to monitor the performance and location of the deliveries. These vehicles safely delivers chicks to distributors in Ibadan who inturn sell chicks to many locations Nationwide.

OLAM offers several types of fish feeds, including ECOFLOAT Feeds, AQUALIS Feeds, BLUE CROWN Feeds, and ALPHA Feeds. These products are designed to provide balanced nutrition and high-water stability, catering to the needs of various fish species.
